Amber C. Simpson has served as principal of Pleasant Ridge Montessori since 2019. Prior to joining PRM, she served as principal of Rothenberg Preparatory Academy from 2014–2019 and as assistant principal at Rees E. Price Academy from 2013–2014. She began her career in Cincinnati Public Schools in 1999 and has dedicated more than 25 years to serving students and families across the district.

A proud Cincinnati Public Schools graduate, Simpson attended Sands Montessori and Withrow University High School. Her connection to Montessori education spans both her personal and professional life. After beginning her teaching career, she returned to Sands Montessori, where she taught in the Ages 9–12 program from 2001–2013.

Simpson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Kentucky State University, completed Montessori 9–12 Teacher Training through Xavier University, and earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati. She also holds a PreK–12 Superintendent License from Xavier University.

Throughout her career, Simpson has been a strong advocate for public Montessori education, student achievement, and educational equity. She remains committed to fostering a positive school culture where students are empowered to become confident learners, compassionate citizens, and future leaders.
